            I think Annie Leonard's thesis is the corporation are running the government. President Eisenhower economic adviser chairman said that the Americans economy allotment purpose is to produce more consumer goods. How did they get us to do this. The two most effective ways they did this is perceived obsolescent and planned obsolescent. Planned obsolescent means it is made to break as fast as possible, so that we will buy a new one. Perceived obsolescent means convinces us to throw away stuff that is still good, so that we will buy new things. How do they get us to throw away good stuff, well they change the way the stuff looks, so we will buy new things. She give us an example of how she has and old fat computer monitor and her coworker has a nice flat screen.

            Her primary goal is to return the government to the people. This goal is being achieving by having people monitor the use of our natural resources. There are people working on clean production, labor laws, and blocking landfills and incinerator use. Taking back our government so it really is for the people and by the people.
